{ABA} styles distinctive floral designs and decor and produces timeless event experiences for private celebrations and local and global brands.
Sensory experiences are our jam. We love to incorporate elements that tantalize all the senses {Taste. Touch. Smell. Hearing. Sight}! We can’t really get into all the details, however, we can ensure that you can trust the process.
Chicago is “home” but the world is our canvas. We love to travel!
Our storefront studio (est. 2017) carries home and retail goods, household plants, and our new lifestyle brand, The Honest Hostess.

I’m Alicia August-Wright, and I founded A’Vents by August (ABA) in 2009 with a passion for creating unforgettable experiences. Inspired by my upbringing in a family that loved to host, I set out to reshape perceptions of urban neighborhoods through culturally rich and authentic events. ABA reflects my love for hospitality, creativity, and the details that make every event feel special. People often feel my passion in everything I touch, which is why ABA has grown into the powerhouse it is today.

While it would be easier to simply send you a menu of services, we prefer to get to know you and co-create the best possible solutions for your event. We will let our imaginations run wild, then reign it in to get the details in order and propose what will give your event the greatest impact.
PRODUCE.
After you receive the detailed proposal and sign the contract, we get to work producing the event of your dreams.
We keep you in the know through your very own personalized client portal that gives you access to all the details you need to know as we work.
EXECUTE.
The big day is here and we have your back. You can enjoy your event while we make sure everything is delivered, installed, and taken down without missing a beat.
